Privacy policy
The short version: we collect what we need to service your vehicle and contact you about it, we don't sell it, and you can ask us to delete it.
What we collect
When you book online, call, or come in, we collect your name, phone number, email if you give it, vehicle information (year, make, model, VIN, license plate, mileage) and the details of the work performed. Smog and VSSI inspection results are transmitted to the California DMV and Bureau of Automotive Repair as required by law.
On the website we use Google Analytics and call-tracking to understand how people find us and which pages lead to calls. These tools set cookies and record pages visited, approximate location, device type, and, for tracked calls, the phone number and a recording of the call. Calls to our tracking numbers may be recorded for quality and training.
How we use it
- To perform and document your service, issue certificates, and honor the warranty
- To contact you about appointments, estimates, and completed work by phone or text
- To send a review request after service (you can ignore it)
- To improve the website and our advertising
What we don't do
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the shop and the website (shop management software, payment processing, text messaging, analytics), the DMV/BAR as required, and parts suppliers when a warranty claim requires it.
Your choices
Reply STOP to any text to stop texts. To see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, call (916) 427-7664 or write to Smog Mart, Inc., 7070 Stockton Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95823. California residents have the rights described in the CCPA; we honor them without charge.
Changes
